Dvorana Dance is a dance school from Prague, Czech Republic. DVORANA has been organizing international dance workshops and tours since 1985 all over Europe for those interested in:

• Czech, Moravian and Slovak folk dancing
• Vintage dances
• New England contra dances
• Scottish country dances

Dear Dancing Friends,
We are pleased indeed that you have visited our web site. We are afraid, though, we do not have much to offer you in 2012. It is not that we are reducing our activities, rather the contrary. We have been asked by several parties to organise for them touristic and dancing programmes restricted to their members.
Apart from that, we have the usual schedule of sporting and dancing activities for the Czech-speaking participants. Owing to this, rather a long list of activities we do not find enough free slots in our schedule for the events we usually offered in the past years.

Yet, we wish to compensate for your disappointment by listing below several events, which might appeal to you and in which you may be tempted to join us.

We hope we are not going to lose your favour, and we shall meet again and dance together at some coming occasion.

Coming dance events in 2012

• Treasures of the Czech Republic.
  May 12-20, 2012 / Czech Republic
  You are warmly invited to come to our country, meet the local people, admire the rich architecture and history, and enjoy the Czech cuisine.

• Vintage Dance Week in Paris
  August 19-25, 2012 / France
  The Carnet de Bals organisation has invited Dvorana to participate at the week-long course of 19th century dance in Paris. The star teacher will be the dancing master Richard Powers from the USA.

• Country Dance Tour
  October 6-15, 2012 / Czech Republic
  This, by now traditional, event for the American country dance enthusiasts, includes a sightseeing tour of memorable sights in the Czech Republic and participation at the Jasan Bonuš Country Dance Festival.
  Thus, apart from a rich programme of dancing, you will get an opportunity to visit, among others, several sights listed by UNESCO as places of the World Heritage importance. • Christmas Folk Dance Week
  December 26 - January 1 / Germany
  For the first time this year, ourChristmas course will take place outside the Czech Republic, in Freiburg-Littenweiler, in southern Germany.

 

We are considering similar trips in the future.
